The tuning fork switch is a level control instrument based on the principle of vibration. Different level switches and their working principles

Capacitive level switch

Ultrasonic level switch
Use the time of ultrasonic wave propagation in the medium to measure the distance to determine the height of the material. When the ultrasonic wave emitted by the probe encounters the material and is reflected back, the height of the material is calculated based on the time difference between receiving the echo.


Laser level switch
uses a laser beam to measure material height. When the laser beam is blocked by material, the receiver detects this change and triggers a switch action.

Infrared level switch

Similar to the laser type, it uses infrared rays to detect the height of the material. When the infrared ray is blocked by the material, the sensor will detect the signal change and trigger the switch action.

Guided wave radar level switch

uses guided wave radar technology (such as single or dual cable) to measure the height of materials. The probe sends microwave pulses, which propagate along the probe and reflect back off the material surface. The propagation time is measured to determine the material level.

Servo motor level switch

Use a servo motor to drive a float that can move up and down to measure the liquid level. When the liquid level reaches the set point, the float triggers the switch action through the mechanical linkage.

Vibrating rod level switch
