The radar water level sensor is a continuous radar type material level measuring instrument with a measurement distance of 30 meters. It can be used for measuring the blast furnace material level, thick tank top tanks, and installation of short pipes, with an output of 4-20mA analog signals.

Working principle

Radar water level sensor, a two wire instrument that outputs 4-20mA analog signal and overlays it with HART communication, or an RS-485, MODBUS four wire instrument, measuring a maximum distance of up to 120 meters. The radar antenna is further optimized and processed according to various working conditions. The use of new and fast microprocessors enables more efficient signal analysis, processing, and reaction, enabling the Blast furnace material level radar sensorto work effectively in complex measurement environments such as corrosive media, reaction vessels, dusty silos, non-conductive media, and high temperatures.

Installation Instructions

Recommended distance (1) from the wall to the outer wall of the installed short pipe:

At a distance of 1/6 of the tank diameter from the tank wall, the minimum distance is 200mm.

Cannot be installed above the feed inlet (4).

It cannot be installed in the center position (3). If the High-precision silo radar level meter is installed in the center, it will generate multiple false echoes, and interference echoes will cause signal loss.
