Working Principle Of On-line Densitometer

There are two commonly used online densitometers, one is to measure the density of liquid larger than pure water, called the weight meter; Another kind of liquid that measures the density less than pure water is called a light meter. The Earth's gravity pulls objects toward the ground, but if you put an object in a liquid, the buoyancy will force it in the opposite direction. The amount of buoyancy is equal to the force of gravity of the object displacing the liquid. The densitometer floats or sinks according to the changing balance of gravity and buoyancy.
A well-functioning densitometer can only float, so the upward force of the buoyant force is slightly greater than the downward force of the gravity. But at equilibrium, the force of gravity is equal to the force of buoyancy.
Because the volume of the online densitometer does not change, the volume of the water discharged is the same. However, it becomes heavier because it contains more water. When gravity is greater than buoyancy, the densitometer will sink. The weight of the densitometer is less than the gravity of the same volume of water, so the densitometer floats again.
The reading of the online densitometer is large and small. When it is immersed in different liquids, the volume does not change and the number changes. The iron sand or lead particles at the bottom of the densitometer are used to maintain balance.
Physical property analysis instrument for measuring fluid density. A similar hydrometer is an instrument that measures the specific gravity of a fluid. The on-line densitometer is the mass per unit volume of a substance; Specific gravity is the density ratio of a liquid or solid to water or a gas to air at a specified temperature and pressure. The density of water and air is known at a certain temperature and pressure, so the specific gravity and density are interchangeable under specified conditions. The density or specific gravity of a substance is related to the composition of the substance, so density meters and hydrometers are commonly used to detect the quality of alcohol, petroleum products, acid and alkali solutions, gas and natural gas. On-line densitometers can also be used to monitor and control the production and processing of such products.
