Product Introduction:

The oil float sensor is a high-precision measuring instrument that can perform continuous liquid level and interface measurements and provide analog signal output for monitoring and control.

It consists of three main parts. The outer tube part is made of product materials that are corrosion-resistant and can withstand harsh industrial environments. The core part of the sensor is the innermost waveguide, which is composed of a certain magnetostrictive material. The electronic portion of the transmitter generates a low-current interrogation pulse, which simultaneously generates a magnetic field that propagates down the waveguide. When the magnetic field intersects the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnets within the floats on the waveguide, a strain pulse, or waveguide distortion, is produced. The strain pulse returns along the waveguide and is received by the electronic unit. By accurately measuring the time interval between interrogation pulses and return pulses, highly accurate and repeatable level values can be obtained.

Working principle

The structure of the oil float sensor (magnetostrictive float oil level sensor) consists of stainless steel tubes (measuring rods), magnetostrictive wires (waveguide wires), movable floats (with permanent magnets inside) and other components, as shown in the figure.

When it works, the circuit part will excite a pulse current on the waveguide wire. When the current propagates along the waveguide wire, a pulse electromagnetic field will be generated around the waveguide wire. Its measuring rod is equipped with a float, which can move up and down along the measuring rod as the liquid level changes. There is a set of permanent magnet rings inside the float. When the pulse current magnetic field meets the magnetic ring magnetic field generated by the float, the magnetic field around the float changes, causing the waveguide wire made of magnetostrictive material to generate a torsional wave pulse at the position of the float. The pulse travels back along the waveguide wire at a fixed speed and is detected by the detection mechanism. By measuring the time difference between the pulse current and the torsional wave, the position of the float, that is, the position of the liquid level, can be accurately determined. The oil float sensor can also be used to measure the boundary between two different liquids. Explosion-proof design, suitable for hazardous situations, intelligent electronic circuit design can calculate volume; the only movable part is the float, so maintenance costs are extremely low.
