Products Description
The APX301 tuning fork density meter by APX is a high-precision online liquid density transmitter. Adopting tuning fork vibration sensing technology with built-in temperature compensation, it continuously measures liquid density and concentration inside pipelines and reactors in real time.
This online density meter performs excellently for viscous fluids and sanitary process conditions. It is widely used for concentration endpoint control in traditional Chinese medicine extraction, pharmaceutical production, food & beverage, fine chemical and biological industries.
At the project site of Jining Public Health Medical Center, the APX301 tuning fork density meter is deployed for online density measurement of steamed Chinese herbal vinegar extract. It reliably monitors product quality during concentration, with the qualified density range set at 1.15~1.20 g/cm³. It replaces manual sampling and laboratory testing, greatly improving production efficiency and batch-to-batch consistency.
Working Principle
The tuning fork inside the sensor vibrates at its natural frequency. When immersed in liquid, the damping force of the medium changes the vibration frequency - higher density leads to lower vibration frequency. Equipped with an integrated PT100 temperature sensor, the instrument automatically compensates density errors caused by temperature change. The transmitter calculates density values and sends data to control systems via 4-20mA analog signal and RS485 digital communication for 24/7 continuous inline monitoring.
