Fundamental:
The basic principle of rf type level switch is to use the capacitance change between the material and the detection electrode to detect changes in liquid level. When there is no material in the container or pipe, the capacitance between the detection electrodes is very large. As the material gradually fills the container or pipe, capacitive coupling forms between the material and the probe electrode, causing the capacitance value to decrease.
Radio frequency technology applications:
Radio frequency technology refers to electromagnetic wave technology that works in the high frequency range. A high-frequency radio frequency signal is emitted from the transmitting electrode and travels through the material to the receiving electrode. When no material is present, the radio frequency signal can pass directly from the transmitting electrode to the receiving electrode, forming a relatively high capacitance value. When the material is present, the RF signal is partially absorbed and scattered by the material, causing the signal to weaken and thereby reducing the capacitance value.

Capacitance and level relationship:

The presence of the material results in a reduction in the capacitance value, and this reduction in the capacitance value is proportional to the height or volume of the material. Therefore, by measuring the change of capacitance value, the level information of the material can be inferred

When the height of the material is below a preset threshold, the RF capacitor level switch considers the level to be low. Once the height of the material exceeds the threshold, a change in the capacitance value is detected and the switch triggers the high level state. This state change can be used to control alarm, start and stop equipment and other operations.
