Working principle
rf level switch, also known as radio frequency capacitance level gauge, its working principle is based on radio frequency (RF) capacitor technology. Radio frequency is applied to the probe and the effects of the surrounding environment are determined through continuous analysis. Since all materials have a dielectric constant and a different electrical conductivity than air, when the liquid level sensor probe comes into contact with the material, the total impedance reflected by the small capacitance shift will change. Since the energized probe and the container wall form the two plates of a capacitor, the insulator of the probe and the surrounding air become the dielectric material. When air (dielectric constant 1.0) is replaced by any other material (dielectric constant >1), the change in capacitance value causes a change in impedance. This effect is measured after the circuit is compared with a reference established by the sensitivity device settings (circuit).
The rf level switch is suitable for measuring the liquid level (material level) of conductive and non-conductive liquids (solids) under pressure in pressure vessels. It adopts two-wire power supply, outputs 4-20mA, superimposes HART digital signal, and displays liquid level locally at the same time. It can also convert various changes in liquid level parameters into standard current signals, remotely transmit them to the operating room, and perform centralized display, alarm or automatic control through secondary instruments or computer devices.
