Radar solid level sensor analysis

Radar solid level sensor is an advanced measuring equipment that is widely used in various industrial production situations, such as solid materials, process containers, strong dust, easy crystallization, condensation, and other environments. It has the advantages of low maintenance, high performance, high precision, high reliability, long service life, etc., and can adapt to harsh production environments such as high temperature, high pressure, and steam.

Radar solid-level sensors are based on the principle of time domain reflection (TDR), which has certain requirements for installation space and the dielectric constant of the medium needs to be considered. Depending on the dielectric constant, a suitable model can be selected.

The product technical advantages of this instrument include continuous level measurement of liquids, particles, and slurries; not affected by medium changes, temperature changes, inert gases and steam, dust, foam, etc.; the accuracy is 3mm, and the measuring range can reach 120 meters; Resistant to high temperature 250 degrees and high-pressure 4MPa; suitable for explosion hazard areas. In addition, the guided wave radar level meter can measure any medium with a dielectric constant greater than or equal to 1.4. It is generally used to measure media with a viscosity of ≤500cst and which is not prone to adhesion. The rod radar has a measuring range of up to 6 meters and has strong suppression ability against steam and foam, so the measurement will not be affected. For liquid materials with small dielectric constants, the double-probe measurement method can be used to ensure good and accurate measurement accuracy.

The working principle of radar solid-level sensing is based on the time travel principle. It emits high-frequency pulses. When the pulses encounter the surface of the material, they are reflected back. They are received by the receiver in the instrument and convert the distance signal into a level signal. It can be installed in various metal and non-metal containers or pipes to perform non-contact continuous measurements of the level of liquids, slurries, and granular materials. It is suitable for occasions where dust, temperature, and pressure change greatly, and inert gases and steam are present. Radar solid-level sensing is not harmful to the human body or the environment. It is not affected by the specific gravity of the medium, is not affected by changes in dielectric constant, and does not require on-site calibration. The instrument is available in rod-type anti-corrosion type, stainless steel horn type, lens type antenna form, with LCD real-time echo curve, and 4 keys can be used to facilitate instrument settings. It is suitable for measuring liquid level, powder material level, coal bunker material level, etc.
